Our Wedding

Our story began in the most unexpected of ways—through a TV screen. One night, Alyssa was watching a reality show when Tyler appeared, and without even thinking, she blurted out, “Wow, that man is gorgeous.” Her aunt laughed and replied, “That looks like your future husband.” Neither of them could have guessed how true those words would turn out to be. With a little encouragement (and maybe a glass or two of wine), Alyssa decided to send a message on Instagram that said simply, “that smileeee.” She had always been a sucker for a good smile, and Tyler’s was one she couldn’t forget. On the other side of the country, Tyler saw the message and smiled to himself, not knowing that simple DM would change his life forever. He was already planning to move to California later that year, and fate had clearly stepped in. When the two finally met, their first date was a hike. From the very beginning, the conversation flowed effortlessly, laughter came easily, and time seemed to disappear. By the end of the day, Alyssa felt like she had just met her best friend, and Tyler told his own best friend later that night, “This girl is incredible.” It didn’t take long for a second date to happen. This time, they spent the day at Belmont Park—playing arcade games, sharing food, a first kiss &amp; laughing until their cheeks hurt. From that point on, it was clear that something special was unfolding. Over time, their bond only deepened. In the middle of Alyssa’s busy nursing school schedule (and against all logic), they decided to add a puppy to their little family. While it may not have been the most practical timing, it turned out to be one of their best decisions. Their pup quickly became the center of their world and a reflection of the home and life they were building together. Then came May of this year, when Tyler planned the proposal of a lifetime. With their closest family and friends gathered, he asked Alyssa to marry him. It was an unforgettable day—filled with love, happy tears, and the beginning of forever. Saying “yes” was the easiest decision she had ever made. Now, as they look ahead to their wedding day, Alyssa and Tyler couldn’t be more excited to celebrate surrounded by all of you—the people who have supported, encouraged, and loved them throughout their journey. They can’t wait to start the next chapter of their story, hand in hand, as husband and wife.

Every spring, nearly 50 acres burst into vibrant rows of ranunculus flowers, creating a rainbow blanket across the hillside. It’s the perfect spot for a stroll, photos, or simply soaking up some SoCal sunshine before or after the wedding weekend.

☀️&nbsp;Beach Day in Carlsbad VillageWe encourage our guests to stay in&nbsp;Carlsbad Village&nbsp;— it’s walkable, full of charm, and super convenient (plus, we’ll be providing wedding day transportation from here!). Start your morning with coffee from a local café, then enjoy a refreshing beach walk or lay out in the sun. For lunch, grab a sandwich from&nbsp;Board &amp; Brew&nbsp;and take it down to the sand, or sit down for authentic Mexican food at&nbsp;Tortilla Mia.When evening rolls around, head to&nbsp;Tower 39&nbsp;or&nbsp;Park 101&nbsp;for rooftop drinks and a lively atmosphere — the perfect way to round out your beach day!

Registry

A shuttle will be provided from Carlsbad Village to the Botanica venue. Departure from Carlsbad will be at 3:30 PM sharp — please be on time, as late arrivals will need to arrange their own ride (Uber, etc.). The return shuttle will depart Botanica at 10:00 PM, bringing everyone back to Carlsbad Village. PICKUP location: 337 Oak Avenue, Carlsbad CA 92008
